The answers I got from her where a bit of a shock…

Our price list is not the Lowest in Hurghada (with our loyalty discount it certainly IS attractive) and it is not the Highest by any means! But the prices this girl was demanding made me a bit disconcerted!

We all know that there is a choice in Hurghada of hundred’s of diving centers and you ALL have your choice who you go with but how many of you are tempted by the LOW prices from XYZ Diving Center or ABC Travel Agency?

Anyway the answer from the guest was that she wanted to go for one day diving including us providing her Full Equipment for 30$…

So what do you get from OUR Diving Center that justifies a ‘Premium’ Price (and like I said I don’t think we are a High price!) compared to other deals you may get?

In no particular order;

From March 1st (To be confirmed), ALL diving guests & staff will be covered for Decompression accident’s for FREE after our deal with Hypermed goes through, this is a first in Hurghada to offer ALL guests FREE Decompression Chamber insurance

We have Oxygen and Fully Stocked Medical Kit’s on all of our boat’s and in the Diving centers!

We have the options of 10 L, 12 L, 15 L Steel or Aluminium Tanks!

We have 32% Nitrox for FREE!

We have GREAT, clean, good looking, functional boat’s!

We have Great multilingual, FUN, Professional Staff!

Maximum 6 certified guests to one Dive Guide, less if possible!

With diving inside the Hotel you get to see everything we have to offer instead of being surprised by quality of equipment or boat’s etc. the day you transfer to your booked diving center!

Etc. Etc. Etc.

I’m not going to say anything about transfer’s because if you know the quality of the center you are going to then you don’t mind to transfer!

We have many loyal guests who transfer from all over Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay to come diving with us but they KNOW what they are getting, do you?

Als u wilt leren duiken is de eerste stap om de PADI Open Water Diver cursus te volgen, de meest erkende en gerespecteerde duik certificaat in de wereld. Binnen een paar dagen kunt u met uw buddy zelfstandig genieten van de onderwater wereld tot een maximum diepte van 18 meter.

Duur: 4 Dagen

U wilt het avontuur van het duiken ervaren maar u bent niet zeker of u de hele open water cursus wilt doen? Volg de Scuba Diving cursus en in uw volgende vakantie kunt u met een PADI professional tot een maximum van 12 meter  duiken of u kunt natuurlijk uw cursus vervolgen tot de PADI Open Water Diver niveau op elk moment dat u dat wilt. Dit kunt u wereldwijd bij elk PADI centrum volgen.

Duur: 2 Dagen

Vervolg cursussen d-atmosphere & deep divers Hurghada

Er zijn verschillende mogelijkheden om uw duik vaardigheden te verbeteren of de speciale duik activiteiten te ervaren.

Na uw Open water cursus kunt u het avontuur vervolgen met de PADI Adventures, uw volgende stap in het ontdekken van de onderwater wereld en een goede manier om meer zelfvertrouwen te krijgen.

Wordt een Nitrox Duiker of een andere specialist zoals Wrak duiker of Diep duiker. We hebben veel specialities om uit te kiezen. Als u de Egyptische duikplekken wilt ontdekken en u duikvaardigheden wilt verbeteren is dit de manier om het te doen.

Duur: 1 Dag

Of volg de PADI Advanced Open Water cursus, in twee dagen krijgt u meer ervaring in verschillende duik activiteiten: kies 3 verschillende adventure duiken plus u volgt 1 diep duik en1 navigatie duik.

Duur: 2 Dagen

In de Rescue Diver Cursus zult u uw kennis en ervaring verbreden. In deze cursus kunt u leren hoe om te gaan in stress en noodsituaties in het water en hoe u deze situaties kunt voorkomen. Om aan deze cursus te kunnen deelnemen, moet u succesvol het Emergencie First Response programma hebben afgerond.

Duur: 3 Dagen+ 1 Dag EFR

Wanneer u de volgende stap neemt begint u aan uw professionele duik carriere. Naast de theorie geven we u een praktijk training om u voor te bereiden op u werk in de duik branche.

HEPCA would like to thank all diving operators and divers for your support of the ‘Saving the Red Sea Wrecks’ Campaign and our recent efforts to establish a mooring system on the SS Thistlegorm.

We are delighted that so many of you are using the new system and that this action is directly contributing to prolonging the life of this wreck. However, we are disappointed by reports that some safari boats and dive guides continue to moor on the wreck itself. Following the installation of the new mooring system, mooring on the wreck is strictly forbidden and violators will be prosecuted.

After a considerable consultation period with diving operators, boat captains, divers and other specialists, the current mooring system was chosen as the only viable solution. It is not possible at this location for the mooring ropes to reach any further to the surface without compromising safety. Any dive guides who cannot tie a rope at 22m should not be working as a dive guide. Any diver who cannot swim 5m from the rope to the wreck in a current should not be diving on this wreck. There cannot be any compromise.

HEPCA strongly opposed a wreck management plan suggested by the Government as it would have meant a substantial increase in fees and dramatic limitations on diver numbers. We trusted in the conscience and commitment of all Red Sea stakeholders to support our mooring plans as the only acceptable solution to sustaining the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm and our ability to continue diving her.

We urge all diving operators, safari boats and divers to comply with the new regulations for diving the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm and use the mooring system installed.

In total there are 32 mooring lines installed in pairs on each side of the wreck. Sadly some of the new mooring lines have already been cut and damaged due to misuse. The HEPCA team will revisit the SS Thistlegorm next week to attach new shorter lines to prevent skippers dragging the lines to the other side of the wreck.

Any previous violations are being considered as due to a lack of awareness and knowledge. Following HEPCA’s distribution of this email, this will no longer be considered a credible excuse.

From 1st February 2008, in coordination with the Chamber of Diving and Watersports, the SSDM and other partners, HEPCA will report all violations and take legal action against all violators.

The next stage of the ‘Saving the Red Sea Wrecks’ Campaign is the installation of a mooring system on the Rosalie Moller, which is scheduled to take place in February 2008. HEPCA remains tolerant, as we understand that this is a long process of public awareness and education. We are constantly assessing both our current work and our future plans and any necessary developments will be undertaken as appropriate.
